From 25 to 28 November 2024, HLW Eisenerz was transformed into a creative ideas lab. As part of Youth Entrepreneurship Week, five dedicated teams from the school had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of entrepreneurship. The aim of the week was to develop an innovative business idea, which was professionally developed from the planning stage through to the presentation in front of a panel of experts.
From the idea to the pitch: an intensive process
The young people worked flat out on their projects over the course of three days. They intensively analysed all the essential aspects of setting up a company:
- Analysing target groups: Who are the potential customers? What needs do we want to address?
- Production: How can the product or service be realised efficiently and sustainably? Do I produce it myself or have it produced?
- Sales: Which channels are best suited to successfully market our product?
- Marketing: What message do we want to convey and how can we reach our target group most effectively?
- Financing: What costs will we incur and how can we finance our project?
The teams received support from experienced mentors who provided them with their knowledge and practical experience.
Support from ZAT Leoben on 27 November
The Centre for Applied Technology (ZAT) was pleased to support the teams in a two-hour mentoring session on 27 November. By talking to the young people about their ideas and products, we helped them to fine-tune their concepts and gave the teams tips on how to make their ideas even more marketable.
The big pitch: final in front of the jury
On the fourth and final day of Entrepreneurship Week, 28 November, the time had finally come: the teams presented their developed business ideas in a pitch in front of a jury. The students from HLW Eisenerz demonstrated their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
