In the first workshop of the Startup Workshop, we looked at one of the most valuable tools for founders: the business model canvas. It offers you the opportunity to visualise your business model in a structured and clear way and helps you to make informed decisions quickly.

1. customer segments: Who are your target groups?

2. value propositions: What makes your product unique?

3. channels: How do you reach your customers?

4. customer relationships: How do you form long-term relationships with your customers?

5. sources of income: How do you make money?

6. key resources: What resources do you need?

7. key activities: What activities are central to your success?

8. key partnerships: Who do you work with?

9. cost structure: What costs do you incur?


Why the BMC is so valuable

The BMC enables you to visualise complex business models clearly and adapt them quickly. Especially in the start-up phase, it helps you to react flexibly to changes in the market and better recognise opportunities and risks. It also provides a common language for your team and external stakeholders, which makes communication easier.
