Startup Day 2024: Looking back on a successful day full of innovation

On 11 October 2024, the Startup Day of the ZAT Leoben took place in cooperation with the Regional Management Murau/Murtal as part of the Startup Workshop at the Montanuniversität and brought together 11 highly motivated start-up teams.

The participants benefited from a wealth of workshops, coaching sessions and networking opportunities. The SFG workshop on its funding opportunities and the information provided by AWS on the First Incubator were particularly well received. The insights provided by Steiermärkische Sparkasse on its services for company founders and the services of the start-up centre as well as the i2b competition also aroused great interest among the participants.

A highlight of the day was the second part of the workshop on ‘Mindfulness in business - burning for your idea without burning out’ by Heidrun Girz and Marlies Eichelberger from more-innovation. The participants received valuable tips on how to maintain their passion in their day-to-day work and avoid burnout at the same time.

In addition to the inspiring sessions, the teams had the opportunity to engage in intensive dialogue - both with each other and with experts from SFG, AWS, Steiermärkische Sparkasse, WKO and ZAT. This exchange was perceived as very valuable by the participants.

The keynote speech by Franz Salomon and the panel discussion with him and Patrick Ratheiser, moderated by Remo Taferner, gave the teams an additional boost of motivation to continue pursuing their start-up ideas despite possible setbacks.

The Startup Workshop runs until 27 October 2024 and ends with a final pitch. Stay up to date and find out about future events on our events page or subscribe to our newsletter.
